The Big Venture Challenge has today unveiled 30 of the country’s most ambitious social entrepreneurs. As one of the four main BVC delivery partners, alongside UnLtd, ClearlySo and The Social Investment Business, The Shaftesbury Partnership congratulates this year’s award winners.
The programme will support these social entrepreneurs to raise investment and rapidly grow their ventures by providing them with access to business support, expert connections and match funding.
The support provided by The Shaftesbury Partnership will help the entrepreneurs to build high-impact networks that will accelerate their scaling. We will help the winners to develop effective and strategic networks, building on our own experience of growing ventures by working with stakeholders from across sectors.
Patrick Shine, lead partner of The Shaftesbury Partnership, said “I am really pleased that we are going to be working with the Ventures team at UnLtd for the next three years. At The Shaftesbury Partnership we know how hard it is to achieve scale, and where we have succeeded it is because we have been able to bring together networks, talented leaders and investors. We are really looking forward to using this experience to help the award winners to scale up their impact.”
Julie Devonshire, Director of Ventures at UnLtd, said: “We’re delighted to be announcing our winners of the Big Venture Challenge today. From disruptive technology applications revolutionising patient care through to employment interventions that bring work directly to those furthest from the jobs market, our winners are rising to the challenge of providing innovative solutions to some of the greatest challenges we are facing in society today.”
