FranchisingWorks, the Shaftesbury Partnership venture which tackles unemployment through franchising, is starting to scale up. It offers franchise businesses opportunities to expand their franchisee networks by introducing talented unemployed and underemployed candidates, and provides the funding through the FranchisingWorks Licence Fund. We are seeing more and more interest from potential franchisees, and we have recently seen Right at Home, London House International, Ecocleen, Abacus Franchising, Ed's Garden Maintenance and Plan-it Cards join our list of approved franchisors.
To support this increased demand, the FranchisingWorks team is also growing. This year we have employed our first apprentice, Soraya Fallahi, and a new Business Advisor, Doug Johnson, who brings extensive experience supporting franchisees in leading franchise companies.
The FranchisingWorks team is based in Manchester and is now looking to extend its offer to cover the North East of England as well as the North West. If you are interested in registering your franchise on the programme, please contact Lucy Campbell
