The Shaftesbury Partnership has welcomed its newest member of the team, Jaidon-Rhys Williams-Silvera. Jaidon is an Associate on the Step Forward programme, a one-year programme of training and work experience for motivated school-leavers aged 18, and he will be gaining work experience with us in the office four days per week alongside professional training one day per week.
Step Forward was launched this autumn by The Challenge, and it aims to give young people quality work experience as well as a nationally-recognised qualification to help them launch their future careers. Staff are provided for roles across five areas: Youth Work, Accounting, Business Support Services, I.T. and Social Media. As an Associate in the Accounting workstream, Jaidon will be supporting us in bookkeeping, accounts and financial management.
Jon Yates at The Challenge said "We are delighted to be working with the Shaftesbury Partnership - whose support and ideas were critical to the founding and growth of The Challenge. Step Forward is now growing quickly as employers are increasingly aware that motivated school leavers can fill many of their entry level roles. However getting access to schools is a problem - one that Step Forward can solve. We have built links with 95% of schools across London - meaning that we can help you find just the right employee for you."
