Shaftesbury Partnership is recruiting two new staff members to support its work across three of its key programmes. We are recruiting a Network Manager and a Head of Corporate Engagement. See below for details.
The Shaftesbury Partnership is a delivery partner for Big Venture Challenge (BVC), a programme which provides ambitious entrepreneurs with access to business support, powerful connections and match funding to help them raise investment and deliver social impact at scale. BVC has already supported 60 social ventures, and 2015-16 is the final year of the 3-year Big Lottery funded programme. Shaftesbury Partnership’s role is to help the entrepreneurs to develop effective and strategic networks, building on our own experience of growing social ventures by working with high-impact stakeholders from across sectors.
The successful candidate will join our existing team of three BVC Network Managers. His/her primary role will be taking responsibility for coaching social entrepreneurs in their networking, facilitating their access to high-impact networks, supporting our coordination of ‘impact networks’ for the entrepreneurs, and contributing to networking events and workshops. In 2015-16, there will be 4 cohorts with 10 social ventures in each. Two of the cohorts will be themed (a Youth & Education cohort and an Employment cohort) and we are especially keen to hear from candidates with experience, knowledge and strong networks in these two areas.
Head of Corporate Engagement
The Shaftesbury Partnership is seeking a Head of Corporate Engagement to enhance its work in building impactful, cross-sector networks and to support its work on two of its social ventures: Social Business Partnership (SBP) and Retirement Transition Initiative (RTI).
Social Business Partnership (SBP) is a membership organisation for large businesses that wish to build a more responsible supply chain. Retirement Transition Initiative (RTI) is a programme which equips people who are around the retirement transition with the information, networks, resilience and opportunities they need in order to continue purposeful activity post-retirement. The Head of Corporate Engagement will develop relationships with new corporate partners to support the successful replication of these two programmes. We are especially keen to hear from candidates with extensive experience in outward-facing client management roles in the private sector.
How to apply
Both of the above positions are part-time positions (2.5 days per week). We are open to candidates who wish to apply for just one role, and we are equally open to applicants who wish to combine the two roles as one full-time position.
